My background:

I am a graphic design professional that has been working as an art director, graphic designer, illustrator, and production artist in all forms of print media since 1977. (See my resumé for career details.)

I was lucky enough to be one of the first purchasers and professional users of the Macintosh in 1984 when it was introduced, and have made it an integral tool in my career since then. For the last ten years my primary source of income has been in the field of computer graphics consulting with the Macintosh, consulting and training with larger corporate clients in the areas of computer-based electronic illustration, design and production. I have been a frequent and popular presenter for Apple Computer, Inc. desktop publishing and design seminars in the Rocky Mountain Region. I am a member of Apple's ASPN program a certified developer, a Quark Authorized training consultant, Adobe Authorized Reseller, a member of all the local user's groups and industry clubs.

Since 1989, I have been very fortunate to have written and published four very popular books on the topic of desktop publishing. My most recent success is "Great Photoshop Techniques," published by MIS:Press (a division of Henry Holt), which is now in it's third printing, and on the Ingram Computer Books best seller list.

..... ..... .....

Currently I fill my time as a professional computer graphics consultant, author, illustrator, an instructor of Electronic Graphic Design at the University of Colorado at Boulder, a volunteer firefighter/EMT for the city of Arvada, Colorado and a P-4/Advanced paraglider pilot member of the USHGA.
